Cancer Resource Center
We at the East Valley Regional Cancer Center believe that no one should feel alone or abandoned while trying to effectively manage myriad problems caused by cancer and its treatments. For this reason, the Cancer Resource Center was established in August 2000.
The Cancer Resource Center was made possible through donations from the following people and organizations:
-
A generous grant from Chandler Regional Medical Center's volunteer auxiliary
-
Employee donations through the Walk of Hope brick program
-
Various community business donations
-
Donations from residents of Sun Lakes
-
18-year-old cancer patient, Brandon Lombardi, organized a golf tournament and raised funds to purchase computers, electronic equipment and a host of comfort items for patients.
The Cancer Center strives to provide uniquely integrated, comprehensive programs for the psychological, educational and practical needs of cancer patients and their families. The mission of the Cancer Resource Center is to enhance the body, mind and spirit of cancer patients both under our care and in our community; to expand educational services to patients, families and health care professionals; and to improve the health of our community.
