Types of Volunteers
The volunteers at Chandler Regional Hospital
are diverse in their backgrounds and ages. Student volunteers
interested in pursuing careers in health care find Chandler
Regional Hospital an exhilarating place to observe health care
professionals at work. Newcomers to the community find that
volunteering helps them become familiar with the hospital's
programs and services. Parents of school age children find that
flexible volunteer schedules fit their lifestyles. Retirees and
"empty nesters" contribute their time and experience regularly,
making a real difference in the lives of others. The one thing all
Chandler Regional Hospital volunteers have in common is their
generosity. They give of themselves.
Adult
Volunteers
Adult volunteers range
in age from post high school through retirement. They may
assist with any of the volunteer opportunities. Last year
alone, our Adult volunteers donated more than 74,000 hours of
service!
Student
Volunteers
Student volunteers are
college students. Most are students who are pursuing careers
in the health care industry. However, all students are
welcome, regardless of career choice. They may assist with
any of the volunteer opportunities.
Junior
Volunteers
Junior volunteers range
in age from 14 to 18. This program gives young people the
opportunity to get a feeling for the health care industry as well
as be involved in community service. Junior volunteers
go through a separate application process and parental consent is
required. Contact our volunteer services coordinator at (480)
821-3308 for more information.
