Chandler Regional Medical Center Classes and Events

Prenatal Classes

We believe that parents who are more informed about the changes they experience during pregnancy enjoy the pregnancy more and have a better chance of a favorable outcome for mother and baby. Knowing what to expect after the baby is born will make the transition from "expectant parent" to "full-time parenthood" much easier. With this in mind, we offer a variety of educational programs for parents and expectant parents.  Some classes include Childbirth preparation, Baby care, Breastfeeding, Boot Camp for New Dads, Breastfeeding support group, and New Mom Support group.

Boomerang Class Description

Were you born between 1946 and 1964? If so, you are one of 76,000,000 American Baby Boomers and may be wondering 'what's next' in your life. Are you thinking about retirement; a next career or new business; personal fulfillment through community involvement; life-long learning; travel and adventure? Welcome to Boomerang, a Chandler community project designed to help Boomers and near or recent retirees figure it out.

With support from The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, Civic Ventures and Libraries for the Future, Chandler's Boomerang project is one of four Next Chapter projects offered in metropolitan Phoenix designed to respond to the unique aging trends of boomers and assist them with the transition to another life stage - that of meaningful retirement. The programs, services, and spaces provided for in these Next Chapter projects will help this generation born between 1946 and 1964 answer the question "What's Next?"

Working with a variety of community partners, Chandler's Boomerang project is a direct reflection of what Chandler boomers said they wanted to assist them in pursuing the next stage and the blue print established by the Commission on Aging.

The health and wellness series is proudly offered to Chandler's Boomers by Boomerang partners Catholic Healthcare West, which includes Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and the Chandler Public Library.
